Whilst sourcing reclaimed railway sleepers we adhere to the European legislation informing any potentials purchasers in accordance with the EU Directive 2001/90/EC which is:-
"Creosote treated timber must not be used inside buildings, childrens play areas, to make toys or furniture, containers for foodstuffs and places where there is a risk of frequent skin contact."
Our Reclaimed sleepers are normally a mixture of hard and soft wood (generally known as Class B sleepers) and are priced accordingly.
